Albert Pike, a 33° Freemason. Head of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction. Pike writes this in Morals and Dogma page 321: Lucifer, the Light-Bearer! Strange and mysterious name given to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! "Astrology is...a science demanding the respect of the scholar notwithstanding its definition as a black art, and, in a reflective sense, and an occult science...this science was known to the ancients as the divine art...

From that science many of our most significant emblems are borrowed. The Lodge itself is a representation of the world; it is adorned with the images of the sun, and moon and [stars]." (Encyclopedia of Freemasonry: 110).

The Pentegram
“is considered by occultists to be the most potent
means of conjuring spirits. When a single point of
the star points upward, it is regarded as the sign of
the good and a means to conjure benevolent spirits;
when the SINGLE POINT POINTS DOWN and a pair of
points are on top, it is a SIGN OF THE EVIL (SATAN)
and is USED TO CONJURE POWERS OF EVIL.”[i]

Albert G. Mackey, A Manual of the Lodge (New York: Charles E. Merrill Company, 1870) 40-41: The right hand has in all ages been deemed an emblem of fidelity, and our ancient brethren worshiped deity under the name of Fides or Fidelity, which was sometimes represented by two right hands joined, and sometimes by two human figures, holding each other by the right hands... Obligations taken in her name were considered as more inviolable than any others (emphasis added).

Mason his religion must be universal: Christ, Buddha or Mohammed, the name means
little, for he recognizes only the light and not the bearer. He worships at every shrine, bows
before every altar, whether in temple, mosque or cathedral, realizing with his truer
understanding the oneness of all spiritual truth' (Manly Palmer Hall, The Lost Keys of Freemasonry: 65).

'The Hermaphroditic figure is the Symbol of the double nature anciently assigned to
